WHAT WE DO
This is Newquay's first 4 day, intensive skate camp for youngsters who want to experience some of the South West's best indoor and outdoor skateparks; with a little bit of surfing thrown in for good measure.
We’re just a stones throw away from Newquay’s incredible Concrete Waves Skatepark and the legendary Fistral Beach.
Our aim is to provide an exciting, exhilarating experience that will never be forgotten!

Cornwall Skate Camp is Newquay’s newest, finest residential skate camp. We will travel across the wonderful West Country to skate some of the South West’s best skate parks. And if you fancy swapping the concrete waves for some real waves, then why not try your hand at surfing while you’re at it?

3 nights camping accommodation and 4 days skating, including 3 meals each day

LOCATION
Our camp is based on the outskirts of Newquay. Getting to Newquay could not be easier with a train station, bus station and only 6 miles from Cornwall Airport Newquay.

EAT & SLEEP
Skaters will stay in our fully equipped tents with easy access to showers and toilets.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided and additional snacks supplied at additional cost.
Staff will stay on camp and will be there to supervise skaters.

SKATEPARKS
Every day we will visit the South West’s best indoor and outdoor skate parks. You will be sure to find a park which you will want to return to again and again.

STAFF
Our camp staff have years of experience of skating, surfing and camping. They are committed to ensuring skaters have an amazing time, whilst remaining safe at all times.

CAMP RULES
No alcohol, smoking, vaping or drugs
Hey, we've got better ways to get high!
Use of alcohol, drugs or cigarettes will result in immediate eviction from the camp.
No bullying, either verbal or physical to other skaters, staff or members of the public.
Just be nice guys! Sweet!!
No leaving the group unattended. Skaters are not permitted to leave the camp or any skatepark alone. They must always be accompanied by a member of staff.

Take pride in your camp. Keep it tidy, keep it clean and free from damage. Any property damage will be billed to the bill payer’s account.












FAQ
How old must skaters be?
Our camp is aimed at 11- 16 year olds, but we welcome older and younger children. Parental consent is required for all under 18 year olds and your child must be confident to stay away from home for the duration.
How good do you need to be?
We welcome mixed abilities, although some skating experience is essential. Although the skate parks that we visit have provisions for beginners to advanced skaters, absolute beginners will feel out of their depth. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Skaters must be dropped off before 10am Monday morning and picked up on Thursday between 5pm - 6pm

If however alternative arrangements need to be made regarding arrival and departure times, please contact Cornwall Skate Camp at least 3 weeks before arrival and we will endeavour to accommodate.

For children travelling by themselves, arrangements can be made to collect them. Please contact Cornwall Skate Camp at least 3 weeks before arrival and we will endeavour to accommodate.
What type of accommodation can we expect?
Campers will sleep in large bell tents. We aim to sleep no more than 2 persons to one 4 man tent. Obviously we want your child to be comfortable with their sleeping arrangements and we will endeavour to ensure they only share with friends.
There is a toilet and shower on site and as well as a large communal area where meals will be served.

Bring at your own risk
Please do not bring valuable or fragile items to camp. If you choose to do so, you will do so at your own risk.
Cornwall Skate Camp takes no responsibility for loss or damage to such items.

Please note that if you do bring mobile phone, laptop, tablet, camera, a portable charger will be required. There is no electric hook up on camp.
Do the children need spending money?
The skate camp admission fee includes accommodation, three meals a day as well as entry to any skateparks.
You may choose to send your child with a little spending money to buy extra snacks and for visits to local skate shops. However, Cornwall Skate Camp will not accept any responsibility for loss or theft of personal monies.
Can we contact our child on camp?
Yes, you can make contact via one of the camp leaders Steve 07792354025 or Liana 07887803767. All skaters will be able to use camp leaders phones if they want to phone home at any time.

How do you travel to the skateparks?
Minibus equipped with seatbelt will be used to transport skaters between parks
What is your refund policy?
A full refund minus £50 deposit will be reimbursed on all cancellations made before the fourth week of arrival.
Cancellations made within 4 weeks of arrival will not receive a refund.

What is the safety disclaimer?
By accepting our waiver you:
1, are allowing your child to participate in an extreme sport than can result in injury or death
2, waive any and all claims for personal injury, illnesses or property damage against Cornwall Skate Camp
3, authorise Cornwall Skate Camp staff to act as your child’s guardian and act according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention
What is the photo / filming policy?
By agreeing to let your child attend camp, you give consent to allow Cornwall Skate Camp film and photograph during their stay and allow Cornwall Skate Camp to use photos and recordings in any future media or reporting.
Insurance
It is the parent’s responsibility to arrange travel insurance for your child. When choosing a policy, please ensure cover is sufficient for extreme sports.

How do we sign up?
Once you have accepted our terms and conditions on our sign up page, email confirmation will be forwarded to you within 24 hours.
Payments must be made by bank transfer. An initial deposit of £50 must be paid to secure a place on camp. All additional fees must be made before the fourth week of arrival. If full payment is not made at this date, the skater may lose their place.
